Family Announces Funeral Services for Tyre King

Tyre King, the 13-year-old victim of a Columbus Police Department officer-involved shooting will be laid to rest on Saturday, September 24, 2016 in Columbus, Ohio. Below is the service information: 

Location: First Church of God, 3480 Refugee Rd, Columbus, OH 43232  

Visitation: 9 a.m. to 10 a.m.  

Service: 10 a.m. 

Eulogist: Pastor Benita Farve , Beth-EL Agape Christian Center 

Interment: Forest Lawn Memorial Gardens  

The service is open to the public but the family asks that you respect their privacy by not bringing any media cameras into the service.  

Even in this difficult time, the family of Tyre King extends its condolences and stands in solidarity with recent police shooting victims Keith Lamont Scott in Charlotte, North Carolina, Terence Crutcher in Tulsa, Oklahoma, Henry Green, V here in Columbus Ohio, and other families who have unjustly lost loved ones at the hands of police officers.
